I'm a proud mom, crafter, and small business owner who believes that creativity has the power to bring joy, purpose, and healing into our lives.
Mel's Place began in 2019 at my kitchen table during a season I never expected to face. After suffering a brain injury, I found myself searching for something that would help me stay focused, motivated, and positive throughout my recovery. What started as a simple creative hobby quickly became much more than that. Making cups gave me a sense of accomplishment, allowed me to express myself, and helped me regain confidence one project at a time.
As I spent more time crafting, I realized how difficult it could be to find supplies that were both beautiful and dependable. I often found myself searching for products that would perform consistently and help makers create professional-quality results without frustration. That experience inspired me to start Mel's Place.
What began as a passion project has grown into a small, family-run business dedicated to providing high-quality supplies for cup makers and crafters across the country. Every item in my shop is chosen with care because I understand firsthand how important quality materials are when you're investing your time, creativity, and heart into every piece you make.

I run a Facebook group where makers of all experience levels can connect, learn, share their work, ask questions, and support one another. It's a place where beginners are welcomed, experienced crafters are celebrated, and everyone is encouraged to grow at their own pace.
